Stitching Together Memories: A Quilter’s Family Story

All levels

Family histories are often found in the pages of old photo albums, passed down at family functions or in the cotton swab of a genealogical DNA test. Chicagoan Deb Lindahl, on the other hand, decided to capture her family history in a quilt, and she’s sharing it with us!  The quilt features 100 blocks with quilted dresses – 100 of them! – representing specific people or memories in Deb’s life and ancestral stories. She will share the 100 short essays that tell the story of each dress.  Don’t miss this unique event demonstrating a fascinating and unusual way to share your family history.
