Susan Schubert will present an evening of facts and lore about her place of dreams. An island off the tip of Door County, Washington Island is full of surprises. Like being the oldest Icelantic settlement in America and having a world famous beach. Stories of lore about the first settlers, the Potawatomie Indians and the first ship to find the island on their way to Fort Green Bay.
With photographs and artifacts, Susan will paint a picture of this wonderful island in Wisconsin where Lake Michigan meets the waters called Green Bay. Join her and take away brochures, handouts and ideas for that next getaway vacation to the land beyond the tension line, leaving your trouble behind.
