The Story of the Telescope

A good introductory level topic.  Educates the audience on what a telescope is and how it works.  Told through the historical perspective of the early inventors such as Galileo and Isaac Newton.

Immediately following the presentation, we will have a star party!!  Our friends from the FVAS will have telescopes set up outside where you will be welcome to observe the night sky.  Weather permitting, this is your chance to directly observe planets and deep space objects that inspire a true appreciation for our dark skies.

June 11-The Story of the Telescope

July 11-What's in the Night Sky
