Program Description
Event Details
Join us as we explore the fascinating images recently released by NASA from the JWST. (The James Webb Space Telescope is the largest, most powerful space telescope ever built.) Our presenters from the Fox Valley Astronomical Society will bring you the captivating story of the JWST. What it is, how it works, and of course, the stunning images that help unlock the history, and reveal the beauty, of our universe.
Immediately following the presentation, we will have a star party!! Our friends from the FVAS will have telescopes set up outside where you will be welcome to observe the night sky. Weather permitting, this is your chance to directly observe planets and deep space objects that inspire a true appreciation for our dark skies.
