This program will be offered in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual options.

This month's Midday Monday will explore the life of Anne Bonny, one of the few recorded women pirates in history. She is only one of two women reported to be active during the "Golden Age of Piracy".  The life experiences of Bonny also highlights the life of a pirate and how it was uniquely experienced as a woman during the 18th century. Jo Ann Tufo, Historian, and experienced speaker presents this program in a colorful Power Point and lively lecture format.  The program is based on a course that Jo Ann has taught at Coastal Carolina University's Osher Lifelong Learning Program), as well as presented in libraries throughout the United States.
