Join Kathleen Geraghty, author and former photojournalist, as she shares how her book “Thanks to Her” came to be and what it all means. This is a story that began with a humble garage sale and morphed into a multifaceted research project. More than a recap of American history from 1900 to 1950, “Thanks to Her” is a metaphorical snapshot of women’s lives during those decades.
Learn how exploring your own family photo archive can add spiritual and emotional rocket fuel to the Heroine’s Journey that is your life. “Thanks to Her” will help you tap into the collective strength of our foremothers, use it to amp up your own life, and kick your malaise to the curb. Remember: Yes, she did — and so can you!
If you have personal family photos you'd like to share with the group, email them to mshumaker@tcpld.org and we will get to them if there is time following the presentation.
