Deb Lindahl's grandmother, Mabel Olivia Wann Nelson, was born in December of 1891 and hers was not an easy life.  In 1967, her uncle “interviewed” Grandma for her life story and typed it into a booklet for all 20 of her grandchildren.  As a new grandmother herself and with my parents both deceased, Deb thought it very timely and important to be able to tell the stories of their past as well as stories in the present time.

As a quilter, her medium for telling stories was sewing 100 “block” dresses with fabrics that represented her family's past. In this interactive presentation, you'll hear a sampling of these stories and learn how you can creatively tell your family's history as well.
