Are you a gamer? Do you love Minecraft? Come to the library and create your very own Minecraft Masterpiece! We will be hang out with fellow gamers while creating some Minecraft art.

Welcome to Story Time with Social-Emotional Books, a heartwarming and engaging experience designed especially for kids ages 2-6!

Much like an escape room, come and enjoy the outdoors with an outdoor puzzle hunt! Put together clues with your friends and work the puzzle or activity to go on to the next one.

This is not a show to watch; it’s a show to play along with! ScribbleJim’s songs guarantee active engagement by encouraging collaboration, creative thought, learning, and play.

Interested in Dungeons & Dragons but don't know where to start?

Join us for a basket weaving class and try your hand at the ancient art of weaving. We will use natural reeds and different techniques to make a small basket.

This class will be taught by Liam Fann, a volunteer Boy Scout.

Prepare your child for kindergarten this fall by enrolling them in our Kindergarten Readiness Summer classes!

Join Mrs. Hansen for simple summertime crafting with your little ones. Projects are easy to complete and are designed to help children build their fine motor skills through cutting, coloring, gluing, and assembling.

Join us for an outdoor storytime at the library!  You will enjoy songs, flannel board activities, and stories that all work to enhance the development of early literacy skills. 

Need a little something cheery to decorate your space? Join us at the library, we will be using egg cartons to create a beautiful, flowered wreath or garland to brighten up your room!

Experience the excitement of Chicagoland’s Premier Traveling Exotic Animal Show! This 60-minute presentation features a captivating lineup of 10-12+ Reptile & Bug Ambassadors, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Join us outside at The Family Den for storytime!  These storytimes will include books, songs, and activities to help those growing preschool brains!

Join us this summer for mindful art classes hosted by Colleen Clark, a licensed therapist from Blackberry Counseling Center.

July: Weather Watchers

Join us for an outdoor storytime at the library!  You will enjoy songs, flannel board activities, and stories that all work to enhance the development of early literacy skills. 

Join us for a tail waggin’ good time as you practice reading aloud to trained therapy dogs in the library.  Children are invited to stop by the library and read for 10 minutes.

Channel your inner Lego Master and have fun building with friends!  All you need to bring is your imagination!  We will provide the materials. 

Drop in and stay as long as you want.

Join us outside at The Family Den for storytime!  These storytimes will include books, songs, and activities to help those growing preschool brains! 

Bring your picnic blanket and your favorite stuffed friend. We will be reading a book and having a picnic snack outside at the Family Den.

Registration will close one week prior to the day of the class.

Come to the library in your PJ's and snuggle with your best stuffie while listening to soothing stories and songs to set the mood for bedtime.

Step into the Engineering Arcade with SciTech for an exciting hands-on experience. Start by building your own custom arcade game using a variety of materials, then test your design to see how it measures up.
