The Senior Social Hour is designed as a gathering space for seniors who enjoy socializing while completing puzzles, playing card games, engaging in movement, listening to music, or working on crafts.

Join an expert birder for a spring migration bird walk at Johnson's Mound! Springtime is most birders' favorite time of year in the Chicago area, as breeding birds are singing and migrating birds are pouring through.

Join Mrs. Hansen for a tea party and books!  Bring your favorite stuffed friend & don't forget to wear your fancy clothes. We will be serving a beverage & light snack. You are welcome to bring your own snack.

Join us for a tail waggin’ good time as you practice reading aloud to trained therapy dogs in the library.  Children are invited to stop by the library and read for 10 minutes.

Learn about the life cycle of a butterfly and explore flowers that serve as nectar and host plants. Listen to a story about butterflies and even plant seeds to start a beautiful butterfly garden at home! 

Learn the true story of Sherlock Holmes in this program presented by John Gowing. He’ll explore all the myths, legends and truths of the intrepid detective. Presenter will be in person.

Join Mrs. Hansen for simple summertime crafting with your little ones. Projects are easy to complete and are designed to help children build their fine motor skills through cutting, coloring, gluing, and assembling.

Join us outside at The Family Den for storytime!  These storytimes will include books, songs, and activities to help those growing preschool brains!
