Program Description

Event Details

What's in the Night Sky - A good introductory topic that is self-explanatory with its title.  We will discuss the types of things you can observe in the night sky, stars, planets, galaxies, nebula, etc.  With an emphasis on what's in the sky that night as a lead into the observing that follows.

Immediately following the presentation, we will have a star party!!  Our friends from the FVAS will have telescopes set up outside where you will be welcome to observe the night sky.  Weather permitting, this is your chance to directly observe planets and deep space objects that inspire a true appreciation for our dark .
