Event Details

Illinois, the Prairie State, was once covered with tallgrass prairie that was home to animals such as bison and badgers. We'll go on a guided hike to learn about prairie ecosystems, plant identification, and prairie ethnobotany. We’ll showcase the natural factors that created the prairie and explain why so little of it remains.
