Event Details

Join us for a monthly workshop featuring projects and books inspired by the topic of color. Participants will learn about color, color theory, primary/secondary colors, art styles, how cultures use color, and famous artists known for their work with color.

Primarily Mondrian

This month we will make a Mondrian inspired project using felt. Book: Coppernickel Goes Mondrian – Wouter van Reek. Material kits are provided. Participants will need pair of scissors for cutting felt.

Piet Mondrian (1872 – 1944), a Dutch artist, is widely considered one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. His abstract designs have had a huge influence on graphic design, architecture, and interior design. He was best known for his stylized, geometric designs of black and white grids filled with bright, primary colors.
