Jan: Snowflake Crystal Geometry

Welcome to Story Time with Social-Emotional Books, a heartwarming and engaging experience designed especially for kids ages 3-5!

Join us for a special sensory-based play time with activities that are specifically designed to engage the senses. Stations are designed to stimulate your child’s mind through sensory, discovery, and motor activities.

Join us for interactive stories, songs, and movement! This small group story time is for all children and all abilities. It is intended to provide extra sensory input during read aloud books and music/movement activities.

Children are invited to hear stories at the Creek Bend Nature Center at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve.  After the program, explore the Nature Center and walk the trails. Cosponsored with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.

Bring your friends & join us at the library for creative crafting fun! Create your Valentine vibe with Heart Garland! We will be cutting and decorating multiple felt hearts, then stringing them to make garland.

Knights, Castles, and Dragons Writing Adventure

Get 2025 off to an invigorating start! Begin the new year with a book club that gets you walking and possibly looking at your world through a different lens.

Do you enjoy making up stories, poems, or graphic novels? Do you write for fun? Is writing your favorite subject in school? Would you like feedback on pieces you have written? Join your peers and let's get creative!

This program will be offered in-person only. 

Anyone turning 65 or approaching retirement is welcome to attend this informative seminar on Medicare.

Caregivers are invited to stay and help if child cannot work independently. DROP IN anytime between 1-2:15, and each simple project will take about 20 minutes.

You don't have to be an artist to create something beautiful—give this project a try!  In this program, you will be painting geometric art on canvas.
